About The Firm

Our office represents individuals being abused and bullied by businesses. We represent small and mid-sized companies in contract disputes and claims against other companies. We have turned down chances to represent insurance companies doing defense work for two reasons;

  1. by representing the insurance company we could not later go against the company when they do an individual wrong, and,
  2. we do not want to be beholding to a large company for our income. In other words, we do not / will not play politics and be at the mercy of their whims.

Helping individuals in the matters discussed in this web-site is our focus. Drafting the various kinds of real estate and mineral deeds, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, affidavits, and contracts, etc. is an everyday occurrence.

Mark's Notes

The Law Office of Mark Humphreys is devoted to helping everyday people and small business entrepreneurs with the legal issues that can change their lives and futures.

We handle many cases on a contingency fee basis, meaning no fees are charged until the case is resolved. Contingency cases, such as insurance issues and personal injury claims, usually involve large companies taking advantage of individuals who don't have the bargaining/negotiating power and resources that layers of lawyers, agents and deep pockets give them.

In the Law Office of Mark Humphreys, NO ONE who has been unfairly treated and has a legitimate claim against a large, abusive organization is going to be denied justice because they cannot afford an attorney.

We have significant knowledge and expertise in areas like oil & gas, real estate and probate, but our clients don't pay the big firm, high overhead, expensive rates charged at most large offices. Our fees for drafting common documents (deeds, contracts, etc) or initiating common procedures (probate, foreclosure, etc.) are fair and reasonable. If a lawsuit is required -- and we are involved in many lawsuits' it can get expensive, but we only recommend that course when the outcome will be worth it.
